St. Gerard Family Life Center (SGFLC) was established on Oct 16, 1995 feast of St. Gerard. The inspiration for the center came when the Redemptorist community saw the long line at the confessional because people wanted to seek advice and consultation after their confessions . Thus, SGFLC was an extension of Sacrament of Reconciliation thru consultation and counselling.

 

Five married couples were selected from volunteers to undergo a series of trainings and seminars with the family life commission of the  Archdiocese of Manila, Pro-Life Phils, Simbahayan Commission and also the Diocese of Paranaque.

 

General Objective: The members of St. Gerard family life ministry SGFLM endeavour to become active missionary witnesses by making the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help an effective center of Healing and Reconciliation

 

Specific objective: Through consultation, advisory, and referral services, SGFLC will endeavor to assist families and individuals in strengthening their family and Christian life.

 

Services offers free consultaton to church goers, devotees, walk-in clients and referrals from confession, by phone and face to face consultation/counselling.
